Consumption of energy – HES is committed to minimising its consumption of non-renewable energy sources and to research alternative sources and technologies to reduce consumption of energy across all activities. In particular, HES will manage its estate to ensure that it meets continually improving energy performance standards.
Production of waste – HES strives to minimise the waste it generates and the consequent environmental impacts by seeking opportunities to reduce, reuse, recycle and recover otherwise redundant resources.
Use of transport – HES is aware of the environmental impacts of its transport operations and, through the use of sustainable transport and IT solutions seeks ways to reduce transport impacts wherever practicable.
Use of resources – HES works to ensure that the products, services and materials which it purchases are as sustainable as practical.
HES will monitor and measure its efforts in reducing its impact on the environment. The company will review its policy annually and set practical targets for ongoing improvements. The company will minimise waste by evaluating its operations and ensuring that they are as efficient as possible. The company will actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers.
HES is committed to the ongoing training and education of its staff so that the company can ensure that there is full awareness of its Environment Policy. HES communicates its Environmental Policy and performance information to all employees through induction, training and internal notice boards. The Environmental Policy is available to all stakeholders through the HES (Midlands) Limited web site or upon request from our offices.
